A dialectic spelling of the term Bolshevik, spoken by Joe Brown/Lucas Burch in LIA. A Bolshevik was a member of the extremist wing of the Russian Social Democratic party that seized power in Russia by the Revolution of 1917. Bolshevism, or Russian communism, advocated the violent overthrow of capitalism. Brown/Burch is angry and despairing at the way in which Percy Grimm and his clan have taken justice into their own hands, ignoring the warnings of the town sheriff, to violently reestablish a sense of order in the town by hunting, castrating, and killing Joe Christmas, thus mirroring the Bolshevik political philosophy.
